I took the live CMS Careers 2.0 Workshop in late Fall of 2007. It’s a terrific program! I couldn’t face another dead-end tedious job and was interested in exploring other options.
CMS teaches you to market yourself and how to network, both necessary skills in today’s job market. The designed exercises help you discover your greatest strengths and accomplishments and show you how to use these to promote yourself in the job search. There are also exercises designed to tap into your heart’s desires, if focus is what you lack. This was my weakness, but since taking the class I have been able to hone in on what I want to do. In addition, CMS helps you explore the possibility and feasibility of entrepreneurial pursuits. I strongly recommend the CMS Careers 2.0 Workshop. – MT in Portland, Oregon
Dear Career Management Solutions; Thank you for your help in setting me in forward motion - I was REALLY stuck! I had to pinch myself several times when agonizing over which position to take; reminding myself that I had TWO fabulous job offers and I get to CHOOSE - what a problem to have! I start Monday! – LG in Seattle, Washington
This CMS Careers 2.0 seminar was well organized and clear, but more importantly, contained information that can be immediately applied to my networking and job search activities–so the relevance of this seminar is huge. I strongly endorse this seminar to anyone who wants to bring more “zing” to their networking activities, and wants to see and measure their results in their job search. - JB in Washington, D.C.
The CMS ARMS process is an upbeat and very positive process, making it very easy and enjoyable to do the assignments. You can take the work at your own pace. - SG in Pensacola, Florida
I got GREAT advice from this program! Rather than limit my graduate degree to the “Education” section of my resume, I put it in the chronological list of work experience, just like they suggested. I really focused on the graduate projects that I worked on that were relevant to the job I was looking for.
The result? I had an interview recently with a multi-national that went very well. Since some of those graduate projects I worked on focused on research on THEIR company, they were very interested. I think on some levels, I might have known as much or more about the company than the interviewer.
At the risk of sounding like an advertisement, the conversation with my interviewer that was inspired by that portion of my resume led to a job offer… for what I consider my “dream job”. I should find out tomorrow when I start. - AD in Portland, Oregon
If you are at a crossroads in your career, or would like to start a new career, this is the plan to help you!! – BT in Oregon
The Careers 2.0 system really takes time to help clarify exactly what it is employers are looking for, and exactly what they are NOT looking for, in a career opportunity. It is an excellent resource at a reasonable price, and helped me get results. – DS in Beaverton, Oregon
